More Radical than Social Media

Hello, Snack Break fans and radical humans!
A lot of y'all are here because of my weekly email series, Social Media Snack Break. That series made sense at the time--I wanted to grow our social media client base at Upswept Creative, and people love free stuff, so it was a nice hook to get them in the door.
And then, well, ::gestures vaguely:: all of this happened.
A lot of heavy hitters in big tech signaled that they were all too happy to let our most vulnerable populations suffer, and we started feeling gross about even offering social media services.
I started thinking about how to even deal with marketing a business online when you're a left-leaning human, and the lid I'd been keeping on my laundry list of problems with the marketing industry finally popped off.
It turns out, I have Things To Say about online marketing and the ethics of the whole thing.
